Team Captains will receive 1 free walk sign when your team raises $100 or more. If your team does not raise $100+ or you want extra walk signs you will need to order here, walk signs are $50 each, please send a "Head Shot" photo and Team Name to Elizabeth Stevens at email@example.com
The walk will be held on October 26th from 9am - noon at Walter Hall Park in League City.
We will need volunteers to help from 7am - noon with restocking water and capri-sun's in coolers, restocking snacks, setting up walk signs along walk path, hanging banners, placing fitted table cloths on tables, direct parking, cotton candy machine, popcorn machine, monitor stage, manage registration/volunteer/shirt/prize tables, monitor moonwalks/slides, and clean up.
Each volunteer will receive a walk shirt and a cinch sack filled with goodies and breakfast.

Nutrition and Exercise for individuals with Down syndrome: Moving from what we know to what we should.

Childcare and dinner provided, serving Chickfila nuggets, sandwiches, chips, veggie and fruit tray, and drinks.
Dr. Judy Kim from the Baylor Transition Clinic will be discussing common nutrition/weight issues that are commonly seen in people with Down syndrome, what are general nutritional and exercise recommendations for people with Ds, and brainstorm ideas on how to live out daily healthy habits.
My goal is for this to be interactive – I’ll share some of the medical information we know about diet/weight/nutrition/exercise … but I would also love to better understand the challenges that families/individuals face in carrying out these habits.

Parents of special needs children should indicate their child’s special needs on the Medical Information Form, which is due to Space Center Houston five (5) business days prior to the first day of camp.

This event is for all ages, siblings are welcomed and will be charged $5 per sibling.
Learn about the attributes of snakes, turtles, and alligators and discover why these often misunderstood animals are important. See live reptiles up close and have an opportunity to touch them. Also, hike our trails and look for reptiles in their natural environment.
You must wear closed toe shoes, comfortable clothes, bring bug spray and sunscreen, and refillable water bottle.

GHFEDS would like to invite your family for our private Summer Splash Social at the Nessler Park Family Aquatic Center in Texas City on Saturday July 20th from 630-830pm.
The Nessler Park Family Aquatic Center is an amazing aquatic venture for all ages to enjoy that features a lazy river, flume slides, cool water spa, childrens play area, and much more.
Pizza, snacks, and drinks will be provided. NO Alcohol or Glass Bottles allowed in park.
GHFEDS, park staff and lifeguards are Not responsible for watching your children, please monitor your children at all times.
