Parent Educational Meeting - Texas Medicaid Waivers Explained

GHFEDS would like to invite you to our Parent Educational Meeting about Texas Medicaid Waivers Explained presented by Heather Burdeaux. The meeting will be held on Thursday February 23rd from 6-8pm at League City United Methodist Church. The meeting will be held in the Chapel Room and childcare will be provided in the room across the hall. We will be serving sandwiches, fruit and veggies, snacks and drinks for the parents and chicken nuggets, chips, fruit, snacks and drinks for the children. Dinner will be served at 6pm and the meeting will start promptly at 630pm.

Heather Burdeaux is a CLASS Medicaid-waiver case manager, STAP vendor, and mom of 2 children with Down syndrome. She will speak about various ways to access Medicaid such as the Medicaid Buy In for Children, a new program to assist people who already have Medicaid called Community First Choice, and how to access STAP (Specialized Telephone Assistance Program) for a device to communicate such as an iPhone or iPad.
